How can this be? I’ve been sinking so low. Weighed down by ethos that wont let me grow. Giving up on luck. I laugh bitterly as an unseen beast cries out in misery from beyond the trees.

I’ve joined the choir shouting over grand stands going wild. Understanding no more than a child. Bury all my jadedness with broken strands of light. Corroded heaven finds me every night.

My last Christmas wish was to wake up with wings. Reborn as a red tail, I'll forget everything. Fly beyond the trees, a slate wiped clean.

My invocation calling to a sunset on the cusp. Soaring over yawning, silent dusk. See me pulling shrews out from underneath the frozen ground. I feast to myself. Still no meaning found.
